Appointments
We see patients by appointment only and ask that you call to reserve a time. Please call the Northside office at (404) 255-2057 or the Alpharetta office at (678) 352-0254 during office hours. If you cannot keep your appointment, please notify us 24 hours in advance.
Prescriptions Refills/Weekends
Please request all prescriptions and authorizations for refills during normal office hours by calling the Northside office at (404) 257-0553 or the Alpharetta office at (678) 352-0650. Please be advised that our providers do not refill monthly birth control pills on the weekend.
Emergency Care
In the event of an emergency, immediately go to the closest Emergency Room and ask them to contact your doctor. If an urgent situation arises during office hours, call us and we can direct you to emergency care. If the situation is not that severe and our office is closed, call (404) 255-2057 and the answering service will promptly forward your call to the provider on-call.
Child Supervision
Children are welcome! However, for liability reasons, our staff cannot be responsible for watching them. Adult supervision is advised. Please note, in order to provide the highest level of service to our patients, and ensure safety and proper equipment operation, we do not allow children in the ultrasound rooms. If you are coming for an ultrasound examination, please bring a friend or family member to supervise your child during this part of your visit. Our policy is based on both safety and cost concerns. As we all know, children are energetic and curious. With all the buttons, knobs, whistles and attached gadgets, an ultrasound machine is an attractive distraction for children who otherwise view mommy’s doctor visit as a boring event. Ultrasound equipment is very heavy, but portable, and could roll over small fingers and toes. In addition, the ultrasound machines in our offices are costly to replace.
Unexpected Delays
Be assured that we make every effort to honor your appointment time and we expect you to do the same. However, the nature of our specialty sometimes causes delays. If your provider is delayed, we will keep you informed, give you the option of seeing another provider, or we can reschedule your appointment.
Insurance Information
We participate in many insurance plans and will file medical claims on your behalf. We will ask you for your insurance information at the time you make an appointment. This allows us to verify your coverage and benefits, obtain required authorizations and inform you of any non-covered services and fees. We collect co-payments or fees for non-covered services at the end of your visit. OB patients are expected to pay for the uninsured portion of their charges on a monthly basis prior to delivery. Please bring your insurance card and identification at the time of your appointment. We also recommend that you familiarize yourself with your plan and plan requirements by your first visit. We will work with you to ensure that you receive the benefits to which you are entitled. You can help by:
- Calling the 800 number on the back of your card to verify our participation with your insurance plan.
- Calling our office to let us know of all insurance changes so we can obtain required authorizations.
- Bringing your new insurance card with you at the time of your appointment.
